About the cultivator in brief
A cultivator is an agricultural tool that is used for soil cultivation.
It is a machine that performs a very important task in the fields without rotating.
The two types mentioned in the introduction are the field cultivator and the row cultivator.
The former has chisel tools that resemble the feet of a goose.
The latter is equipped with a number of rigidly fixed winged cultivation tools, which can be distinguished from one another by a glance.
However, they may have different uses in agriculture and crop production.
Yet each has its own importance in making farming life easier.
Of course, questions may arise as to what they can do and how precisely they can do it.
Choosing the right type
The first and most important thing is to always find the right type and use it for the job.
For example, field cultivators are suitable for preparing the soil before sowing and for loosening the soil.
They have a much deeper working depth, so you can reach up to 20 cm, depending on the type.
The row cultivator, on the other hand, is more suited to cultivating the ridges of catch crops.
It is less capable of going deep, with a maximum depth of 5-10 cm.
It is therefore mainly used for maize and sunflower cultivation.
As these crops are unable to absorb and use nutrients properly on their own after heavy rainfall.
In this case, the cultivator helps the plants by aerating and turning the soil.
Why use it?
These different types of cultivators are much loved and praised by farmers who are experienced in farming and crop production.
The machines make a significant contribution to improving the quality of the soil and the growth of crops.
They can, for example, eradicate weeds by aerating the soil, not to mention their important role in conserving subsoil water.
Cultivators are mainly towed by tractors.
To perform the task, the tiller heads, mounted on the frame, work in a horizontal direction.
Importantly, the machine not only digs but also chops up and loosens the soil, making it more friable.
It easily handles younger weeds, allowing it to perform several tasks at once. 
If all this is not enough, these structures can be used to easily embed manure or compost into the soil.
This increases the availability of nutrients to our plants.
When should you use a cultivator?
They can be of great help in the following tasks: – preparing the bed for cultivation, – indirectly after cultivation, – in the case of repeated cultivation, when dealing with a very weedy area, it is not a bad idea to loosen the soil, – when amending the soil, as the weeds can be recycled to add nutrients to the soil, – during the growing season, as we should not wait for the weeds to become too strong.

It is perhaps not surprising that you can find almost anything on the internet these days.
Not only tractors, but other agricultural machinery and tools can be purchased online.
Among the implements you can find big brands such as Razol, Lemken, Gaspardo, John Deere and Fliegl.
However, it’s worth being careful with machines of different vintages, as second-hand versions are not always worth the money.
For a larger farm, it may be worth investing in a new machine, as it is easy to find the ideal one for you on the internet.
